Iraq War: 4 years later

Back in 2003, I was in support of going to war with Iraq because I, like many Americans, was led to believe that dangerous weapons existed in Iraq and that we were in danger of being attacked with these weapons.

Don’t get me wrong: I’m a patriot through and through. I consider myself independent, but am decidedly more Republican/conservative than Democrat/liberal. 4 years later, after realizing our American people have been dying for a war with no clear “finish line” or objective, a war initiated under false pretenses, my feelings have greatly changed. I think my current feelings can be best expressed through a quote from the late Malcolm X:

“You’ve been hoodwinked. You’ve been had.
You’ve been took. You’ve been led astray, run amuck.
You’ve been BAMBOOZLED.”
