Mr. Obama has been selling out little by little in his quest for the White House.  He’s toned down his emotional rhetoric and now avoids “controversial” topics such as same-sex marriage.   Mr. Obama is currently trying to quit smoking to make himself more “mainstream” and “acceptable” to American society.  His mentality has changed from “everybody can fit in America” to “everybody must learn to fit in.”  Sad.

Many Americans seem bothered by the prospect of a smoker becoming president but seem to have NO problem with having a professed alcoholic and a bumbling drunk (George W.) constantly grinning and laughing at inappropriate times sitting in the White House  with his finger “on the button.”  I voted for George W. back in 2000 believing he was a RECOVERING alcholic.  I did not realize at the time I was voting for a 8-year “Happy hour,” unethical behavior, 20+ scandals, and a protracted war lacking direction fueled by Mr. Bush’s “liquid courage.”  The President is the head of the  EXECUTIVE branch of the federal government: The primary purpose of the Executive branch is to ENFORCE law, not break it.
I would really prefer to take my chances with the smoker, if he ever decides to be “himself” again.
